Drew often complained of dry lips when he was in the hospital following surgery, or during chemo.  He also hated anything that smelled "perfumy" as it gave him a headache and made him nauseous:( So, when thinking about The Drew Box, I wanted to make a lip balm that worked well and didn't have too strong of a taste or smell.  I think we came up with a great one and I'm excited to share the recipe with you here!

After two years of relentless carrot juicing, Drew switched to smoothies in the blender.  To the joy of our whole family, the kitchen sink is no longer piled with carrot skins and the once white, but now orange-hued juicer is resting in the pantry.

I think it's safe to say that hospital food is pretty much the worst.  It tastes bad and is not good for you, which is super frustrating when you are sick and trying to do good things for yourself.  Since his diagnosis, Drew has had a few hospital stays that have lasted weeks and one that lasted almost three months.
